Bipolar Disorder Series by Dr. Henley (6 parts)
This is a short Bipolar Disorder Series by Dr. Henley and is part of a larger series called "It's a Brain Thing". Dr. Henley is a Psychiatrist and from what I can understand, he produced the series "It's a Brain Thing" for the sole purpose of educating people on the how the mind works, how it works with our belief system and what is actually happening when something goes astray. I'm sure I didn't explain this well enough, but I think you can interrupt his purpose very quickly by just watching his series.
We will be loading the rest of Dr Henley's series over the nest week or so. The videos are a bit longer than what we normally load up, so you might encounter some timing out. What I suggest if this happens to you is to start the video, then click the pause button and let the video load up -- without actually playing. You can also download these videos in a MP3 format from this website -- http://www.homergreg.com/henley/ . These videos are a bit on the dark side, but the audio is good. You won't miss anything is if choose the MP3 format.

Quantum Healing Series with Deepak Chopra (31 parts)
Quantum Healing Series is a audio series in video format by Deepak Chopra. Quantum Healing is a term coined by Deepak Chopra in his book Quantum Healing. He asks the question, Why, when your body mends a broken bone, it is not considered a miracle, but when your body cures itself of cancer, it is? Copra suggests that the two phenomena come from the same cause - the body is able to do much more than we suppose it can. He calls this ability to heal and cure from within "Quantum Healing." He says it is an expression of the intelligence possessed by the body within each of its cells.
Deepak Chopra is an Indian medical doctor and writer. He has written extensively on spirituality and diverse topics in mind-body medicine. He claims to be influenced by the teachings of Vedanta and the Bhagavad Gita from his native India, and quantum physics. He also said that he has been profoundly influenced by the teachings of J Krishnamurti. His teachings have had a profound influence on the The New Thought Movement which has embraced him in the U.S .

Beginners Guide To Meditation with Shinzen Young (9 parts)
The Beginners Guide To Meditation Series found us. We were researching a completely different topic when this gem of a series found us. The 9 part Beginners Guide To Meditation Series is by Shinzen Young. This is a audio series in a video format. We were unable to find a MP3 version for you. This is a great series on meditation for anyone considering meditation for the first time or those of you that have been meditating for most of your life. Shinzen, has an easy going manner of explaining meditation that is easy to understand and absorb. The type of meditation Shinzen speaks of is vipassana meditation, also known as mindfulness or insight meditation. Here you will find how vipassana can be applied to many practical issues as well as how it relates to other meditation practices such as Christian contemplation.
Originally derived from the Theravada school of Buddhism, vipassana can be practiced by followers of any (or no) religion as a useful mental skill set. Removed from its cultural and doctrinal trappings, vipassana meditation (usually under the name mindfulness) is finding clinical application in the fields of pain management, stress management, compulsions and as an adjunct to psychotherapy.
Shinzen Young became fascinated with Asian culture while a teenager in Los Angeles. Later he enrolled in the Ph.D. program in Buddhist Studies at the University of Wisconsin. Eventually, he went to Asia and did extensive training in each of the three major Buddhist meditative traditions: Vajrayana, Zen, and Vipassana. Upon returning to the United States, his intellectual interests shifted to the burgeoning dialogue between Eastern internal science and Western technological science. In recognition of his original contributions to that dialogue, the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology has awarded him an honorary doctorate. Shinzen's website can be found at http://www.shinzen.org/index.htm. We would like to thank Shinzen for providing this series.
